Monica's birthday

Wow, what a wonderful birthday I have had. Marianne and Johanna had planned to take care of Linn and Carl for the entire day on Saturday...so that Mike and I could spend the day together. And the day was really great, relaxing and we really enjoyed the time by ourselves. We left the kids at Fuxes at noon and headed towards San Francisco, where we had lunch at one of our favourite cafes in the Marina, The Groove...well, you can see how happy I was to be there!!!


After a nice time in the Marina,we headed towards FLICKA, a boutique with Scandinavian brands (I love the pants there) and I left with a pair of jeans...
...and then we went to downtown San Francisco to just hang out and do some more shopping.


After a couple of hours in the city we headed back home to rest 30 minutes before we went to dinner at Bistro Elan (a supernice restaurant with a Swedish owner and french-inspired cuisine). We picked up Linn and Carl at Jacobi's in the evening...One would think that the taking-care-of-your-kids would have been more than enough when it comes to what Fuxes and Jacobis did for me/us...but the next day (my actual birthday) we were all invited to Jacobis for a b-day lunch. So after a massage treatment (at a nearby spa) in the morning, presents, phone calls and surprise-quick-visit by Theres, we headed over to Jacobis.

	More presents...including a spa treatment, a book and some board games (for us to bring to our vacation in San Diego next week).
Jacobis fixed a superyummy lunch and Fuxes a delicious cake....

Wow, what a superb birthday celebration. A superbig thanks to Jacobis and Fuxes that made this weekend a really memorable one for me...I am so happy to have you as my friends. You are very generous!!! A big thanks for all emails, congrats on our website guestbook, phone calls, cards from Sweden and presents...I am really overwhelmed!
On Monday it was time to celebrate with my Leo friends, Maya, Cynthia and Laura. Our birthdays are all within a week. Starting off with mine on August 6th...
.....then it is Cynthia on August 8th	Maya August 11

Laura, August 11	..and as per tradition we celebrate with dinner each year...
